Physiotherapy is a branch of medicine dedicated to the treatment of illness or injury of soft tissues, joints, and nerves using physical methods rather than by drugs or surgery. Physiotherapy can restore movement and function by working with your body to locate and correct movement patterns.

Its basis is to treat chronically shortened muscles by desensitizing the muscle with dry needling treatments.

Vincent graduated with a Bachelor in Kinesiology from the University of British Columbia, Vancouver, BC in 2020. He enjoys rehabilitation and prescribing exercise programs to help others achieve their goals. He believes that every individual is capable of reaching their goals and also enjoys helping clients learn something new about themselves. Vincent also has volunteering experience working at Kids Physio Group, where he shadowed and assisted physiotherapists in programs to help children improve mobility, strength, balance, coordination and confidence.

Outside of Kinesiology, Vincent started training in Taekwondo at the age of 7, achieved a second degree black belt and continued training up until 2015. He played various sports in elementary school including basketball and soccer. During his high school years, Vincent took part in many intramural sports such as volleyball, soccer and ultimate Frisbee.

Some of his interests include hiking, walks around the seawall, playing sports and watching movies.

Sharon Lee is a Registered Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioner in BC. She earned her double degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine and Biomedical Science in Hong Kong in 2008 and went on to complete her master’s degree in Stroke and Clinical Neurosciences in 2011. She has over 10 years of experience working in both public hospitals and the private sector.

Sharon’s treatment approach, guided by Traditional Chinese Medicine principles, emphasizes the interconnectedness of the body, mind, and spirit, viewing the human body as a complex system in which all parts are interrelated and interdependent. She is experienced in using acupuncture to treat various health problems, including but not limited to:

  • Various musculoskeletal pain issues;

  • Facial nerve palsy;

  • Headache;

  • Insomnia;

  • Menopause symptoms;

  • Dysmenorrhea ;

  • Functional dry eyes;

  • Simple Obesity

Kam Yan is a graduate of Physiotherapy from the University of Alberta. He started work in various hospitals and has been in private practice for the last 25 years. He is also a fully licensed Traditional Acupuncturist of BC. He is an IMS Instructor in Hong Kong and at ISTOP. He has also an Honorary Fellowship at ISTOP.

His past achievements include a being speaker at the International Congress of Physiotherapy in 1972; at the Canadian Physiotherapy Association; at UBC on non-needle acupuncture, as well as at the Beijing University of China, School of Acupuncture and Moxibustion.

He is an experienced Physiotherapist and Acupuncturist dealing with acute and chronic pain.
